Did you know...
Students who take co-op have more information and a better understanding when making a career plan.
Hello,
Thank you for visiting the co-operative education website, and exploring all of the wonderful benefits co-op has to offer.
When students participate in co-op they work towards developing a plan for their future while getting hands on experience in a career they enjoy. This program is a great way for students to make connections with employers and explore opportunities that could turn in to a career here at home.
Over the past several years, co-op has enjoyed tremendous success- thanks to the many students, parents, educators and employers who have supported the programs expansion.
Currently, 83 of the provinces 87 high schools offer co-operative education, and participation continues to grow. This represents thousands of connections between students and employers.
By participating in co-op you are helping to build Nova Scotia’s future workforce. Co-operative Education helps employers contribute to their community and grow their business by molding a potential future employee. Parents who support co-op help their child make informed decisions as they gain the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need to succeed.
Co-op is a valuable learning experience for all students and I encourage you to get involved today.
Sincerely,
Ramona Jennex
