Walking Distance Review

A provincial review of school busing has recently been completed.

The review included broad public input, and examined Education Act regulations and school board busing policies, including the maximum distance students must walk before being eligible to ride a school bus.

It is the first examination of student busing in more than a decade.

The public response portion of this report is now complete. We would like to thank all individuals and organizations who provided comments to assist the Minister in preparing her response to the recommendations.

The Minister's response will be available once she has considered all recommendations and input from the public.
