Pre-Primary Program

Forty-five locations across the province have been selected to offer pre-primary programming to four-year-olds this fall. This includes our eight existing Early Years Centres.

For the first time, Nova Scotia families will have the option of accessing free, universal pre-primary education for four-year-olds.

This is an investment in our youngest Nova Scotians that will help them transition more easily into their school years, and identify those who will need additional supports once they begin school a little earlier.

The initial phase will see 52 classrooms in 45 schools across Nova Scotia.
