BLAC Report Review

The Department of Education commissioned a review of the effectiveness of the programs and services implemented as a result of the recommendations of the Black Learners Advisory Committee (BLAC) Report, Redressing Inequity - Empowering Black Learners.

Dr. Enid Lee, an experienced Canadian public school educator, was contracted to conduct this review.

Beginning in October 2008, Dr Lee met with teachers, principals, students, parents, and community organizations across the province, as well as school board and department staff to review the effectiveness of programs and services implemented in response to the BLAC Report.
