Student Services:

provides leadership and direction to school boards in developing, implementing, and evaluating special education and other student services policies, programs and services

consults, liaises, and communicates with education partners and the public to ensure a co-ordinated and collaborative approach to student services

works with partners to address systemic racism and discrimination, through implementation of the Racial Equity Policy

supports the implementation of effective learning environments, through Positive Effective Behaviour Supports (PEBS) and the Provincial School Code of Conduct

provides supports such as autism research, transition planning, severe learning disabilities, challenge for excellence, and literacy support planning

supports school boards in the implementation of Reading RecoveryTM in all schools with grade 1, including French immersion programs
