Trevor became the Regional Education Officer (REO) responsible for home schooling at the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development as of September, 2019.

He brings a wealth of experience having worked in education for more than 25 years. Trevor is an elementary trained teacher. He has taught junior and senior high mathematics, science, social studies, English and IB economics.

Trevor has been a school administrator; a mathematics consultant as well as a program, assessment and school improvement coordinator. Prior to accepting the position of REO, Trevor served as the Director of Programs and Student Services at the Tri-County Regional Centre for Education.

Trevor and his wife Leslie have three children. Their youngest son and their daughter attend high school and their eldest son is at University.
