The Mi'kmaq Liaison Office is mandated to serve as a conduit between the Department of Education and the province's aboriginal communities in matters of Education. It provides services to teachers and administrators in Nova Scotia's band-operated schools. It also assists the public school system through professional development and curriculum/resource development to promote the inclusion of Mi'kmaq content and perspectives in all of the province's classrooms.
