Black Excellence Day whose inaugural celebration took place on June 17, 2022 continues to highlight the brilliance, achievements, and talents of African Nova Scotian students and students of African ancestry.

This year's celebration of Black Excellence which will take place on May 15, 2024 in schools across the province provides an opportunity for every student, teacher, and administrator to acknowledge and recognize the past and present achievements, stories, art, innovations of each and every person within the African diaspora.
