The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, under the direction of the Minister, is responsible for approving student exchange programs to work with the province’s Regional Centres for Education / Conseil scolaire acadien provincial to offer reciprocal exchanges in which Nova Scotia students attend school outside Canada for a pre-determined timeframe, and international students attend public school in Nova Scotia for the same pre-determined timeframe.
