Student Exchange

An international school (public or private) may be approved to offer the Nova Scotia Program, giving their students the opportunity to graduate with a Nova Scotia high school diploma and continue their studies at a Canadian post-secondary institution.

Canadian Education Exchange Foundation (CEEF)

The Canadian Education Exchange Foundation (CEEF) is a not-for-profit corporation organizing educational exchanges for students through partnerships with governments and private agencies in many countries. CEEF exchanges in Canada are organized by a small professional multilingual staff with the assistance of many volunteers. CEEF student exchanges are school-based and require your principal’s approval in order to participate. Once matched, a visiting exchange student lives with your family from the middle of August until early November and attends classes in your school once the fall term begins. To complete the exchange, you travel to the home country of your exchange partner, live with his/her family from early February until early May and attend school in that country.

Rotary Youth Exchange

As a Rotary Youth Exchange student, you’ll spend up to a year living with host families and attending school in a different country.   Whether you participate in Rotary’s long-term or short-term Youth Exchange programs, you’ll learn a new way of living, a great deal about yourself, and maybe even a new language. You’ll also be an ambassador, teaching people you meet about your country, culture, and ideas. You can help bring the world closer – and make some good friends in the process.
