FREE Taking Control of Your Money—Basic Budgeting for Youth
 
Grades 9-12
Becoming financially aware is essential. In order to be successful in our “financial future” we must first be in control of our own finances.

The YMCA of Southwest Nova Scotia and SchoolsPlus, is offering a free program to assist youth entering grades 9-12 and youth preparing for College/University or independent living. This 2-day program will cover important topics such as: be-coming financially literate; personal values & influencing factors; money basics; why and how to budget; earning money & finding employment; documents: what they are & where to get them; pressures to spend: positive & negative influences; goal setting & decision making; borrowing and credit; and managing debt & unex-pected expenses.

All program materials will be provided.
