Inclusive Education Supports

In March 2018, government accepted the vision and promise of the Commission for Inclusive Education’s report Students First: Inclusive Education that Supports Teaching, Learning, and the Success of all Nova Scotia Students.

The Commission’s report outlined recommendations that will address student and complex classroom needs. Government will implement the recommendations over five years.

This year, government has invested an additional $15 million to support the implementation of the Year 2 recommendations, for a total $30 million in 2019/20.

This investment will continue to support last years supports and will see more school supports in September 2019, to ensure students have the help they need to be more successful in school.
