The updated Comprehensive School Counselling (CSC) Framework is under review and due to be released shortly.

Nova Scotia’s Comprehensive School Counselling (CSC) is designed to address student needs through a flexible framework of support ensuring that students benefit from a counselling program that focuses on Well-Being and Development, Life Transition & Career Planning, and Learning and Achievement.

It is designed as a total school program with defined outcomes and benefits for all students. CSC aligns with the Inclusive Education Policy, Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), and Culturally Responsive Pedagogy.

The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development’s mission is to lead the transformation of the early years and public education system. This program will provide children, students, and families with a strong foundation for success.

Questions or inquiries pertaining to the upcoming release of the CSC can be directed to the School Counselling Consultant (902-424-2128).
